inuyasha and kagome chapter 1

ch.1
inuyasha first...and second love!


"Kagome do you sense any jewel shards at all"?
"Sorry Inuyasha none."  Kagome let a little sigh slip passed her lips.  Shippo looked up into the eyes of his friend with concern.
"Is something wrong Kagome, you seem sad."  Sango and Miroku stopped and stared at Kagome.  Inuyasha kept walking until he realized everyone had stopped.
"Hey!" Cried Inuyasha "Come on people get moving."  Inuyasha's stop frowning when he saw Kagome's face.  Only then did he become quiet.
"Inuyasha what did you to to Kagome now"?  Sango looked up at Inuyasha, who had turned his face away so they couldn't see the worry in his eyes.
"He didn't do anything, I'm just_deep in thought. I get like this when I start thinking so much it makes me tired."  Kagome stopped since she felt the lie was half right.  She  was thinking but also it was to do with Inuyasha.  She saw him with Kikyo again and refused to see them together again which is why she came to a resolution she was going to get Inuyasha alone and tell him everything on her mind, good and bad.
"Can we go now"?  Inuyasha asked very rudely and impatiently.
"Inuyasha"?  Kagome's voice took the sneer of his lips.
"Huh, yeah"?  
"SIT BOY!"  Inuyasha landed with a huge thud.
"And what the hell was that for"? Sango, Shippo and Miroku all started to bust out laughing, even Kagome let a  giggle past her lips.  Inuyasha however found this very insulting.  He got back up and faced Kagome with the reddest face she'd ever seen and then she let out full blown laughs just like her friends.  At that Inuyasha let it slide.  Then he heard Shippos voice chime in.
"Really Kagome you only get that look if Inuyasha was with Kikyo."  Sango looked at Inuyasha.  She glared with a ferious face that had Inuyasha backing up.
"Inuyasha you didn't,  tell me the truth, were you with Kikyo again, you lie to me and I'll slice you in two."  Sango had a firm and ready grip on her boomarang.  He sighed and stopped backing away.
"Yes I saw Kikyo again."  Sango's face turned beet red.  She muttered and cursed him under her breath.  
"Miroku can I see that staff of yours"?  Miroku looked puzzled but handed Sango the staff.  Sango closed her eyes for a split second and then glared down at Inuyasha with hate filled eyes.
"You are so IMPOSSIBLE!" She screamed and chased Inuyasha around in circles before Kagome yelled 'SIT' and Inuyasha slamed into the ground were Sango hit him over the head with her fist and then the staff.  She smiled sweetly as she handed the staff back to Miroku.  Miroku just smiled back and nodded.
"Kagome would you sto..." Inuyasha stopped talking after a tear ran down her cheek.  Shippo jumped of Kagome's shoulder and land two inches by Inuyasha.  
"Inuyasha you are the dumbest, crueliest, meanest half-demon I've ever met."  Shippo yelled before striking him in the head leaving a nice pink bump.  Inuyasha just stared at Kagome.  He got up momments after and follwed far behind them.  Shippo and Sango kept turning around and glaring at him.  Finaly he just couldn't take it.  He raced up to Kagome as she lifted her face.
"Kagome can I talk to you alone"?  She looked at Sango and Shippo and they both nodded for her to go.  
"Sure, we'll meet up at the village later."  Inuyasha and Kagome went to a lake near the path and sat down.
"Kagome I really am sorry, can I at least tell you why I went to see her"?  Kagome didn't answer she just nodded.  "She wanted to join the group but I told her I no longer loved her and that I fell for someone else."  He smiled sweetly at Kagome.
"Oh and just who have you fallen for"? Kagome asked sarcasm covering her real curiosity.  Inuyasha moved so he was facing Kagome.  He took her face him his hands.  Kagome's eyes widened in awe.
"You."  He simply stated.  Before Kagome could answer she felt his lips on hers and noticed his golden eyes were shut.  She gave into the kiss and kissed him back with force, her eyes slowly closed as she wrapped her arms around his neck and his around her waist pulling her closer to him.  He broke the kiss to let her breath.
"Kagome"?  
"Yes"?
"Would you mind if I marked you as my mate"?  She really hated when peolpe claimed her but in the current situation.
"I would love that."  She said as she kissed his warm lips again.  He then moved to her neck and peirced the top layer of her skin leaving a silver circle around the bite markes.  He leaned up again and kissed her gently before he got up and offered his hand.  She toook it gladly and they walked hand in hand to the village.

Out of no where Kikyo's sacred arrow peirced Kagome's leg.
"Next time I'll aim for her heart."  Kagome fell to ground with a bloody scream.  The others in the close by village heard her ran just in time to see Kikyo with Kagome out cold and Inuyasha at arrow head backed against a tree.  Sango released her boomarang and hit Kikyo in the arm and she droped her weapon.  Inuyasha slashed at her with his claws leaving blood on his nailes.  Kikyo grabbed her bow and arrow and fled into the surronding forest.  Inuyasha quickly ran to Kagome.  Her eyes opened slowly to see the face of her mate.  Inuyasha bandaged her leg up and helped her walk to the village.  

Kagome still with an injury all of a sudden fell out of Inuyasha's arms and almost hit the ground if Inuyasha had not picked her up bridal style.  She had fainted from loss of blood.  Sango noticed for the fist time the worry and sorrow at seeing Kagome so hurt and close to death.  Inuyasha looked up right as Sango turned her head.  They arrived in the village and brought her to a hut with a young lady fixing a man's broken arm.  She looked up at the group and then specificly to the girl in the demon's arms.  She nooded and motioned for him to lay her on the mat.  He did so and then sat beside her holding her hand the whole time.

Sango leaned over to Miroku and Shippo. And pointed to the silver circle on her neck with to little bite markes in the center.
"Inuyasha has mated with Kagome, he marked her as his."  She smiled and watched as emotions flickered over his face.  Sorrow, pain, grief, mourn and a hint of satisfaction of his mate.  Her eyes finally opened and her wound completly healed.  Inuyasha helped Kagome up and they walked to the richest house where Miroku did he 'exercism' to stay the night.

The owner let Kagome and Inuyasha have a room to themselves and miroku, Kilala, Shippo and Miroku shared one room.  Back in Inuyasha's room, Inuyasha watched Kagome toss and turn in her sleep.  He heard her call his name more than once and he also heard 'I love you' and 'never leave me'  from her beautiful lips.  He smiled and layed down beside her.  As he did she stopped tossing and turning and said his name once again only to snuggle into his chest and fall asleep.

That morning Inuyasha and Kagome woke up too early so they decided to go to the river a mile from the village.  Inuyasha and kagome watched as a school of fish chased a crab around in circles.  Kagome was sitting inbetween Inuyasha's legs and had her head on his shoulder while he had his arms around her waist and his head on her other shoulder.  She watched again and a big fish chased the school of fish away.  They remained that way until they heard a russling noise in the bushes.  Out stumbled Kikyo with Inuyasha slash markes on her shoulder.  She had her weapon aimed towards Kagome.

"Inuyasha how dare you pick my reincarnation over the real thing."  She screamed.
"Kikyo she is nothing like you she is far better and you are not Kikyo either you are dirt, ashes, bones and clay, you are a puppet, the Kikyo I once loved is dead and will stay that way."  Kikyo put her weapon down and fell to the ground where she pulled out a dagger and repeatedly stapped herself.  Inuyasha and Kagome tried to stop her but she put a barrier up so she could die alone.

Sango and the others appered to find Kagome locked in Inuyasha's arms happy and sad.  Happy because now they could live together with no fear of Kikyo and sad to see a once beloved girl kill herself in front of the man she once loved.  
"Are you two alright"?  Sango stood behind Inuyasha who was still holding kagome.
"Yeah we're fine, are you okay Kagome"?  Inuyasha whiped the tears from her lips and them kissed them.  Shippo turned beat red while Sango and Miroku smiled.  'Its about time.'  They both thought.  Miroku looked at Sango with lust and love.  Sango looked at Miroku like if he tried it he would perish.  

The group left the village and headed for Keades hut for the wealthy owner who lent them room for the night had givin Kagome a gift.  A rare gem stone used only to turn demons human.  Kagome looked up and noticed Inuyasha staring at the beads.   She stopped mid step and turned to Inuyasha.  
"What wrong Kagome"?  She didn't answer, instead she took the neckless of Inuyasha and put it in her bag.  Inuyasha, taken back by the motion, pulled her in for a kiss.
